The company that bears the name IBR Glennfield BrilCo today is the result of nearly four decades of principled enterprise, strategic foresight, and what can only be described as an extraordinary sequence of corporate realignments. What began in 1949 as a single Texas firm has, through vision and acquisition, become one of the most diversified industrial conglomerates in the world.

Era I · 1949 – 1972
The Glennfield Years
1949
Founding Sidney "Riptide" McMingus returns to Effervescence, Texas, where he founds Glennfield Labor Incentivization Solutions. He dreams of one day buying all the real estate in his hometown.
1969
In under two decades, Riptide has expanded Glennfield's operations into the nearby towns of Bonus and Grecoville.
1972
Transition Riptide loses control of Glennfield following an employee mutiny.
Era II · 1976 – 1981
Acquisitions, Spinoffs & Realignments
1976
Swiss-American multinational Aebischer IBR acquires Glennfield.
1976
Glennfield is renamed Glenfeld.
1977
IBR is spun off from Aebischer.
1978
Sino-French-English multinational British Liabilities Corporation acquires Aebischer.
1979
Glenfeld is spun off from IBR.
1980
Glenfeld renames itself Glennfield.
1981
Landmark Merger IBR merges with British Liabilities Corporation to form American-Sino-French-English multinational IBR BrilCo.
Era III · 1983 – 1986
Consolidation & The Modern Identity
1983
Glennfield acquires Aebischer from IBR BrilCo.
1984
Aebischer is renamed JG Kruppcom.
1984
JG Kruppcom is spun off from Glennfield.
1984
Glennfield acquires IBR BrilCo.
1986
The Present Era Glennfield is renamed IBR Glennfield BrilCo — the institution as it is known today.
